HEATHCOTE BOTANICAL GARDENS
The gift shop carries Debra's work. Heathcote Botanical Gardens, Inc.
was established in 1985 by a group of citizens desiring to rescue a
retired plant nursery from encroaching urbanization and transform it
into a public garden facility. Within its boundaries existed numerous
exotic plant species, mature native trees and shrubs, a Japanese Garden,
outbuildings and a house originally constructed in 1922 that was moved
to the site in 1967.

BOTANICAL GARDENS
http://www.cas.usf.edu/garden/
A demonstration garden complete with a
Native American chickee hut. Two times a year the grounds
are transformed into one of Florida's premier plant and

to offer the public the greatest in bonsai, tropical plants
and garden art. Debra had a booth at this event for many
years. |

U.S. Department of
Agriculture Forest Service
Established in 1905, the Forest Service is an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Forest Service manages public lands in national forests and grasslands.
Pollinators are responsible for assisting over 80% of the world's flowering plants. Without them, humans and wildlife wouldn't have much to eat or look at! Animals that assist plants in their reproduction as pollinators include species of bats, butterflies, moths, flies, birds, beetles, ants, and bees.

North American Pollinator Protection Campaign
Working to protect the pollinators of the North American continent.
Our Mission
is to encourage the health of resident and migratory pollinating animals in North America.
Pollinators
are our Indispensable partners in an estimated 1/3 of the food consumed by
humans. Pollinators allow the reproduction of more than 90% of flowering plants. Today their existence is threatened.

The Pollinator
PartnershipTM
Resources for Consumers, Gardeners, Resource Managers, Educators, Farmers & more.
Pollinators, almost all of which are insects, are
indispensable partners for an estimated 1 out of
every 3 mouthfuls of food, spices and condiments
we eat, and the beverages we drink. They are essential to
the fibers we use, the medicines that keep us healthy, and
more than half of the world's diet of fats and
oils. Insect pollinators, including honey bees,
pollinate products amounting to $40 billion
annually in the U.S. alone.
